As I spend more time doing homework, my energy level is higher. Additionally, the more time I spend doing homework, the lower the chance of me playing video games and the lower the phone screentime.
For the project, I've collected a total 30 days of data, recorded once everyday for the best accuracy. I think that I've collected enough data for the visualization and did come to a conclusion about two of the datas that I recorded.
The link to my data collected in JSON file is below:
JSON File
I've collected five variables of data and the units are as follow:
Phone Screentime - Unit: Hours | Social Media Screentime - Unit: Hours | Homework Time - Unit: Hours | Video Game Time - Unit: Hours | Energy Level - Unit: 1=Low Energy; 5=High Energy
In the data that I've collected, the objective datas are Phone Screentime, Social Media Screentime, and Video Game Time. This was all collected by the Screentime function of iPhone. Homework Time is also objective data as I manually measure and collect the hours myself.
In the data that I've collected, the subjective data that I've collected is my energy level. This was based on how I feel at the end of the day. When I have low energy, it will be recorded as 1 or lower than 3. This is when I feel exhausted or I might have felt like I didn't accomplish much during the day. When it's 3 or higher, that usally mean I feel pretty good and accomplished.
Based on the data that I've collected, I've seen a pattern between a couple of datas, including those that were not visualized. One of those pattern proved one of my hypothesis correct: The more time I spend doing homework, the higher my energy level.
As you can see from the graph, there are bigger circles towards the right end. This is proof that there is a correlation, and that my hypothesis is correct. However, the visualization does not agree with my second hypthesis about video games and phone screentime
As you can see from the visualization, the colored circles red and yellow is all over the place, showing no correlation. On top of that, there's no definite direction that it's going to the left, the right, or any direction, showing no correlation between phone screentime and homework time.
